Freelancer Digital Nomad

The freelancer Digital Nomad Program application also requires a Trade License application. The Trade License process is more complex, requires further documentation, cost and requires greater oversight. In addition, this program at minimum requires:

Criminal background check

  1. For the purposes of obtaining your Trade License, two sets of criminal background checks need to be obtained. One of them needs to be used for the visa application and the second one for your Trade License application. The criminal records checks needs to be apostilled and then translated by a Czech government verified notarized translator. This needs to be done for any country you spent over 6 months in over the last three years.

2. Any entity applying for a Trade License is required by law to present a Czech business address. There are a variety of ways of obtaining one. The common solutions to this are, presenting a rental agreement, alongside a document signed by the owner of the property, which states them agreeing with the address being used for these purposes.

3. After gathering these documents, every freelancer is required to apply for their Trade License. There are two ways of accomplishing this:

  1. Go to the Trade License office in person and file the documents, along a 1,000 CZK fee.
  2. Sign a power of attorney and have some professionals do it for you.

 

4. Now that the Trade License application is obtained, it is time to move on for the preparation for the Digital Nomad Program application itself.

The following documents are required:

  1. Proof of education or proof of experience.
  2. Proof of funds.
  3. Proof of address.
  4. Promise of a contract or supporting letters of intent.

Make certain to apostille and translate all the documents that are required to be apostilled and translated.
